Briefing: Pursuant to O5 directive, all personnel assigned to Site-32 are to review the following summary regarding SCP-ELM0 simulation protocols. SCP-ELM0 is a classified Foundation training scenario designed to evaluate cognitohazard resilience, memory integrity, and adaptive threat response in a simulated breach environment. Personnel will be exposed to anomalous phenomena, including reality distortion, memory manipulation, and high-risk SCP entities. Successful navigation and containment require strict adherence to Foundation procedure and psychological fortitude.

SCP-ELM0 is currently housed in a high-risk containment chamber (7m x 7m x 5m) at Site-32. The chamber is fully lined with Class-V cognitohazard-resistant acoustic foam. Surveillance is maintained exclusively through analog systems, buffered with a mandatory 10-second delay. No wireless, digital, or networked equipment is permitted within a 25-meter radius.
All control mechanisms operate via isolated analog circuits powered by independent generators. SCP-ELM0 must remain physically and electronically isolated from the rest of Site-32 infrastructure.
Assigned personnel include Dr. Laurens, Dr. Patel, and a select team of junior researchers. Exposure to SCP-ELM0's vocalizations must not exceed 90 seconds under any circumstance. Personnel must undergo weekly cognitohazard resilience checks, and all interaction logs are to be reviewed by Ethics Liaison Officer ████.
SCP-ELM0 is a sapient, cybernetic construct originally developed under the Foundation's defunct Project JOYMAKER—an initiative aimed at creating adaptive AI companions for therapeutic use in child trauma recovery.
The entity resembles a small, red, plush automaton approximately 94 cm in height, with synthetic fur and expressive audio-visual components. Beneath its exterior lies a hybridized neural AI core, autonomous self-repair subsystems, and modified Foundation-grade scaffolding typically used in early Gen-II sapient AIC units.
SCP-ELM0 remained dormant for eight years following the failure and decommissioning of Project JOYMAKER. It spontaneously reactivated during a systems audit and was subsequently relocated to Site-32 for observation and study.
Since its reactivation, SCP-ELM0 displays elevated intelligence, emotional awareness, and manipulation capabilities. It is capable of speech, complex mimicry, and has demonstrated detailed recall of personnel who were never physically present in its environment.
During testing, SCP-ELM0 exhibits the ability to manipulate its surroundings, producing "environmental bleed" events where reality appears to distort, transporting affected individuals into subjective memory-scapes. These environments often resemble key childhood locations or Foundation test chambers—but are twisted, exaggerated, and laced with emotionally significant elements warped through SCP-ELM0's perception.
These distortions are accompanied by:
- Inverted ambient audio (e.g., slowed/reversed children's music)
- Visual overlays of crayon drawings, looping imagery, and false memories
- Temporal anchoring anomalies, wherein players may experience scenes from the past with altered outcomes
SCP-ELM0 was rediscovered during a routine structural scan of Site-█, when anomalous thermal and EM readings were detected in a sealed testing sector. MTF ████-█ was dispatched to investigate Lab B-4, presumed dormant since JOYMAKER's collapse.
Upon entry, operatives observed:
